Typhoon Haiyan Relief

In November 2013 Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines. As a result 1.8 million were homeless and over 600 000 were displaced.

The Shai Fund despatched a German team of medical professionals to join Israeli counterparts working with IsraAID and F.I.R.S.T. to respond to the disaster.

The German Israeli partnership in one week assisted with emergency medical treatment to over 800 sick, distributed food and clean water to 2000 families and restored the medical and electrical supply to the local community health clinic.

In addition the Shai Fund is restoring the livelihoods of 10 families by rebuilding their boats.
